The care and support of people living through dementia require an approach that is truly focused on the individual. Our commitment is to understand the needs of the people affected by dementia and those of their families and how the two together provide effective care.

We have extensive knowledge and experience with dementia and make sure that it reflects in the care plans that we provide.

We realise through experience that providing dementia care is not just about offering practical support, but also responding to a person’s emotions and understanding the importance of a loving environment. This is an essential part of any care package when dealing with dementia. It important for people with dementia to know that they are valued and loved irrespective of their actions.

Overnight Care Support

Overnight care provides peace of mind and reassurance that you will be looked after whatever happens through the night.  Care isn’t only needed during the day but often at night too.  Your Care Workers will stay with you in your home throughout the night to assist and support you as and when needed. This care has allowed those we have helped to continue living at home, retaining levels of independence and dignity that are very hard to match if moving to a care home.  Our Care Workers provide a reassuring presence throughout the night when you feel most vulnerable.  They can be there to support with toilet breaks, moving safely around your home or assistance with medication.

We provide two types of overnight care services-

  • Sleeping Night Care
  • Waking Night or Night sit service
We can help you if you need a short break for a week or two after a hospital stay, or if you are a family carer who would like to take a break from looking after your loved one.

End of life care at home can be suitable for those who are approaching the end of their life, focused on comfort and wellbeing. If you’re looking for palliative or end of life care, we can develop an end-of-life care plan with your family. Our staff can visit several times a day as required to ensure that your loved one is comfortable.

A sleep-in care service is ideal for those who only need minimal support as the care assistant will sleep at the client’s home for a minimum of eight hours. This service is also suitable for those who struggle with being on their own at night due to anxiety or mental health issues.

What situations is this suitable for?

Sleep in care is designed for those who may need assistance before bedtime and upon waking – with dressing, for example, or preparing breakfast/taking bedtime medication.

Basic care needs are met during a sleep-in care session but if assistance is needed more than two times during the night, the care type would need to be moved to a wake-in care service instead.

Waking night care means a carer can be on duty in your home to provide any necessary support throughout the night. A night carer can help with bathroom visits, personal care, monitoring, and any other needs which may arise. This may be the preferred option for those who wake several times a night and need support. Assistance may be needed as you wake up disorientated, or wake due to pain caused by a medical condition. This may also be needed if you or your loved one wake at regular intervals throughout the night to change position due to injury or to take medication.
